Tips: After SPM

Hi SPM leavers!! I was thinking about upgrading this post to the latest trends in choosing on how to pursue your dream..are you gettin' in a Matriculation, University or straight to find a job?

After SPM, what would you do?? There are actually many choices.

Take STPM: Most of school in Malaysia have Form Six and offer banyak course mengikut sekolah tu sendiri. But actually I do not prefer all of you to enter Form Six unless korang tak dapat mana mana tawaran lain. Because STPM is not a chicken ride, korang perlu belajar course baru same with University. So, I can't verify this since I never sat for STPM ;) 

Matriculation College: Matrics is easiest passport to universities. There are about 15 government-funded matriculation colleges (including 2 managed by MARA) in the country and they offer matriculation courses from one year to two years in three streams; technical, science and accounting.

Since these are government-funded colleges, they pay you for attending. It used to be RM1,000 per semester but I don't know the figure right now.

Besides Ministry of Education and MARA, you can apply for matriculation courses at various other universities like University Malaya, UTP etc. Normally university matriculation is much tougher to get in, sometimes you need 8 straight As to get in.

So, if korang nak masuk matriculation kena lah struggle lebih sikit. Study life in Matric just same as school. There will a prep at night and pembelajaran korang terjaga :D

Overseas: If you are good, you may be chosen for overseas colleges. MARA offers scholarships for overseas colleges but you need to do your A-level or IB locally. JPA also offers overseas scholarships but since they are based on merit, they are quite tough to get. There are other organizations (governmental or otherwise that offer overseas scholarships) including PETRONAS and we will include them under scholarship section.

Or selalunya budak MRSM ataupun SBP akan dapat offer untuk keluar negara. So, untuk yang ini, korang kena prepare mental and physical hehe. Study abroad bukan nak pergi melancong okay :P

Diploma At IPTA: Ipta used to be a popular choice for school-leavers. If you want to study in University, try to find the suitable course ikut minat bukan paksaan. It's much better for you to do diploma than to do a matriculation if korang tak yakin boleh lulus dengan bangga dalam matric :) Okay, even korang masuk diploma pun, it still step by step and the safe way to get an achievements. So, diploma sangat bagus kalau korang jenis yang belajar mengikut steps..But some Spm leavers tak dapat diploma but dapat matriculation..so, just go on with matriculation..but then paku dalam otak supaya struggle okay :')

Get A Job: Lastly,ahaha.Get a job.It's up to you. But this ought to be your last choice. You can get up to RM1,000 a month but who can live on RM1,000 nowadays. But find the right job -.-'

For Spm leavers, kalau nak your family proud of you..study okay :') 

money can come later after your successful life :D
